Yes there was. The original poster would be missing *all* of the additional features (other than Coppola's commentaries).

There was talk that "Part 3" would come with that bonus disc, but I don't think they're planning on doing that.

And I'm not even 100% sure the new "Part 2" will be spread out over two discs. I assume it is, but I haven't seen anything saying it would be more expensive than the other two or anything...

Has anyone seen the new Part II yet? It was originally announced as a single disc (as opposed to being spread over 2-discs in the boxed set to preserve higher bitrate). Is this still the case? Is the new disc crammed on there?

Other than persistent rumors; has anyone seen an actual announcement of II or III being released individually? DVDEmpire lists them for pre-order but clearly indicates that there is no scheduled release date. Is this just anticipation?

I'd say just buy the box set, well worth it.

I finally broke down and picked up the Godfather Trilogy this past week. The main reason was that I finally found the perfect box (it wasn't crushed, no dents, crushed corners, etc.).

For R4 they are saying it will be released on 25th November in 2-disc so maybe you folks will get it earlier.

I'd say that too. I'm suprised you guys are willing to stick around and wait for the single releases, when all three of them are already available to you. It's cheaper than ever. Bought mine almost a year ago for $50 flat.

Maybe it's just the people who don't dig on special features, I can understand that I guess. Although me, I love the nice box, excellent features, and in the end; it's one of my favorite sets.
