what is it with Universal lately.. first it's september 28th, then october 5th, and now september 28th again... and they've been doing this for several other titles too, announcing a new release date every week it seems... very odd.

i hope they announce what extras it'll have... or should i say, i hope it'll have extras!

From our site:

As well as a lovely 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen presentation, the disc will include English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround, English DTS 5.1 Surround and French Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. Extras will include an audio commentary with Michel Gondry and Writer Charlie Kaufman, a A Look Inside Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind featurette, a Conversation with Jim Carrey and Director Michel Gondry, deleted scenes, a Polyphonic Spree "Light & Day" Music Video and a Lacuna Commercial.
We've also posted some menu shots here

It's too bad they didn't include the Charlie Rose Show interview with Kaufman. It was his first television interview and a very good one.

Oh well, he'll probably cover a lot of the same ground with Gondry in the commentary.

DVDAnswers has the revised artwork here. Much easier on the eyes, except for those big quotes.

My favorite movie of the year thus far, a definite adder to the collection. Carrey was amazing in this movie, I loved the soundtrack.

Okay, so only one DTS track for everyone. So where the hell did the idea of two DTS tracks even come from?
I blame ftsoh. And the Ketel One.
With a twist of lime.
People who watch a movie and won't listen to the film's original language are screwing themselves anyway.

The new revised artwork definitely works for me! I'm happy they are going for the poster look instead! I can't wait!

"A Smart, Sexy, and Seriously Funny Comedy!"

Just what the f*** movie did Travers even see?? What a stupid-ass quote to have on the box. Now I bet we're gonna have a whole bunch of idiots coming back just like they did with Lost in Translation going "This was supposed to be funny?!! It sucked!!!" What idiots.

Anyways, I cannot wait for this release. The best film of the year, hands down, and already one of my favorite films of all time. This movie very literally changed my life.

Yes, I agree that this film changed Rivero's life.

Anyway, yeah, I didn't think this was a comedy. Some things were funny, but usually in that "oh man that looks painful" kind of way and not in that "ha ha" way.

Oh my god.
Revised (much better) cover art using the original poster art.
And a quicker release date?

This news just made my ... week.

This is my most highly anticipated DVD release in a very long time.
