The Punisher: Sept-07-2004
According to dvdaf.com, The Punisher will be released on Sept. 7, 2004. I missed this one when it came out, so I have been waiting for the DVD release.

ugh....not keen on the artwork....if they use the two heads, then they should take out the center piece, as it's not "fluid" design. looking forward to the dvd, nevertheless.
Looking forward to this release, thought the movie was great but I too hate the cover art. Why coudnt they just stick with one of the posters? Either the one with the skull with reddish tint or the one with just the Punisher standing in the middle (the coverart without the two faces on the side).
just curious...
when did DVDaficionado begin "scooping" DVD news sites? |
That may not be the final official cover-art. Sometimes, I've noticed, that DVDAfic doesn't always have the correct artwork.
sweet...I loved this flick...
how was this movie, might be a blind buy
I thought it was horrible, like a throwback to those cheesy action movies from the 80s that litter the VHS shelves of Blockbuster.
I missed this one in theatres, but despite the bad reviews, I still want to see it.
Sweet. Great movie...especially the bloody climax.
This was a fantastic story of revenge. Better than Kill Boring IMO.
The cover art should have just featured the endlessly marketable Skull logo, not the faces. |
I liked it too. Great flick. It's still running in NYC btw.
Dolph Lundgren will forever be 'Frank Castle' in my eyes! Given that statement, I still want to see this one
I thought it would suck because of the reviews, but I loved it and I'm a big Punisher fan. I think it is geered mostly to fanboys
I am not a Punisher fan and I only know a little about the character.
That said, this was a very underrated moving in my opinion. |
As a Punisher Fan Boy collector, and the fact that the movie was filmed in my backyard here in Tampa, I had to see it.
I would have to agree that it is no better than any other cheesy 80s action movie, but some scenes were great. I still love the shot of the knife through a goons throat that is seen in his open gaping mouth. |
I wanted to see this but never had enough time.
I'll probably rent it first. |
You could compare endless movie covers...some will look the same.
What was your point? As for the movie, I might check it out on DVD for the extras. |

Just FYI to everyone, dvdaf uses movie posters for their artwork until the real artwork is released, so I wouldn't count on that being the final artwork.

LOL. To each their own. I will say that I love the Seether/Amy Lee song featured in the movie and the soundtrack.
I dont' get to the movies much anymore, so this is good news as I'm a big fan of comic book movies. Even bad ones. Not that this one's bad. I haven't seen it. But I said that already didn't I?
Jawsome! I enjoyed it in theaters, Can't wait to buy it.
