I thought it was too long. The highlight of the movie for me was the Kevin Nash fight. It is amazing how big some of those wrestlers are next to normal people. He dwarfed a ripped guy and it almost looked like CGI.

I'm dying to get this. I loved the movie and the comic just makes it a sweeter deal. But is this 2-disc set rumour legit? And will we finally see a remastered and uncut version of the Dolph Lundgren version released anytime soon? ALthough the current DVD was only $5 I was sorely disappointed to find out it was in 2.0 mono when the film was originally mixed in stereo.

Oh I know it's a sweet movie. I couldn't get enough of it when I saw it theatrically. My only gripe was that I wanted more of Harry Heck.

Thanks for the heads up on Wal-Mart. I was gonna get it on Suncoast cos they had a rebate that reduced the price to $16.99 but if I can get it for $15 right off the bat. Do all the DVDs have the comic or only a few of them?

People were right earlier when they said the ones with the comic are just noted by a sticker. The cover is the very same otherwise. A friend of mine got it at a store. His had no sticker and hence no comic. I got mine from DigitalEyes and it came with sticker and comic.

Yeah the local Wal-Mart has a mass display of this movie and I saw some had the sticker and some did not. They had it for 15.97

I liked the fight with The Russian, but would have liked to see more of Harry Heck also. The rest of the movie left me kind of indifferent. I especially feel that Rebecca Romijn-Stamos was wasted.

And I thought that all the "funny" lines really cheapened the movie.

The Saw trailer talks about a character called jigsaw.

http://www.sawmovie.com

In this interview with Thomas Jane he talks about Punisher2 using the villian Jigsaw.

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/news/articles/1362.asp

Could there be a connection? Both are Lion's Gate films. I sure hope they make a Pun2.

I loved the Punisher movie, I wanted more of Harry Heck, I wanted more car chase scenes, more fighting, I wish we got to see Punisher take out more nightclubs, casino's etc. I was pleased with the movie but it sure left me wanting more, way more.

The character Jigsaw seen in the trailer for Saw is not what I remember from the Punisher comics. The Jigsaw from the comics was much less of an evil genious and much more of a murdering maniac.

Got my copy today from DDD and it came with the comic. I was like, "Cool, I got the comic." I think DDD's price was only $14.88.

And it's definately a 1-disc set. But cool disc art, though. Punisher skull symbol.

So is this Saw movie tied into the Punisher movie or comics?

don't think so, other than perhaps the same studio.

Wouldn't that be cool if it's the same Jigsaw! Jigsaw gets away in SAW, and in Punisher 2 and FUCKS him up!

...but it's NOT likely

well, something weird is going on.

In the interview Thomas Jane says that Punisher 2 will (if they make it) feature Jigsaw as the villain.

The same studio releases a movie called Saw whose main character is some kind of bloodthirsty villain named Jigsaw?

Maybe it was Thomas Jane that was confused. Maybe he overheard some execs at LG talking about that Jigsaw movie and Jane got a little ahead of himself.

I don't know but I'd get ready for Predators too.

Weird. I just thought this DVD wouldn't sell too well, but you learn something new everyday.

I'm darn happy that this movie is doing so well on DVD. What killed this movie is the release date. I just hope that a Punisher 2 is in the works with Tom Jane!
