CLERKS 10th Anniv: 3 disks?!! TV pilot footage?!!

From Kevin Smith himself, as reported by newsaskew.com:

The live action, rarely seen Clerks TV show might actually become part of the Clerks 10th anniversary jam-packed THREE-DVD set. Yes, THREE. You read that right. Wow.
The TV pilot starred Jim Bruer as Randall. There are pics on the Net somewhere, but I can't find them right now.

3-Discs is awsome!!! And I'm sure the TV pilot will be a cool extra, but damn! That just looked like one awful show!

If I'm not mistaken some of this was filmed at a gas station a few miles from where I live. (louisville, KY)

3 discs though! Awesome.

The TV show looks about as appealing as "The Star Wars Holiday Special", but it would be cool to see if only for the novelty value.

Great news. That TV pilot looks terrible, but I really want to see it anyway, in a "gawking at a car crash" kind of way.

Well.. I think there was talking of having the original cut with the original commentary still on the new disc, but there aren't any OFFICIAL specs yet.. the current disc can be gotten now for $10 or less. The new disc will have an extended cut and a new commentary among several other things, but I am holding on to my current disc until we get official word that the theatrical cut and original commentary are on the new set.

I guess if you're not a big fan, I'd wait.. but if you are, you'd probably already have the current disc.

Sounds good... i didn't like Clerks that much compared to Smith's other work, but i'd definitely get this.

Wasn't it always to be planned to be a three disc set or something similar?

So what is planned other than this:
- New Anamorphic Transfer (offically confirmed)
- Theatrical Cut and/or Newly Created Extended Cut (unconfirmed)
- Original Audio Commentary from Original DVD (unconfirmed)
- Newly Created Audio Commentary (confirmed)
- Deleted Scenes from Original DVD (unconfirmed)
- Additional Deleted Scenes (unconfirmed)
- Theatrical Trailer (unconfirmed)
- MTV Promo Spots (confirmed)
- Three hour (maybe longer) documentary about the View Askew series (confirmed)
- Question and Answer footage involving the Cast and Crew (confirmed)
- Original 1995 TV Pilot (confirmed for now)
- Soul Asylum Music Video (unconfirmed)

Well damn, I'm ready. Can't wait till October (when it should be released).

I've been waiting very patiently for this. I've only had a dvd player for a couple of years so I've been putting off on buying this. I've stuck with my vhs copy off of Bravo because I refuse to double dip (Although I have done it once, but never again). And the way KS has talked about this has made me believe it will be worth the wait.

37!?!

Look at the View Askew's website for Clerks. There's a few deleted scenes on there that did not end up on the Laserdisc or the DVD (which is mostly a 100% port of the Laserdisc).
