Me too. And also wondering if the commentary is identical? I'm not sure if that's been confirmed...

Will new commentaries be recorded for Clerks X DVD?

A new one has been recorded already, with Jeff, Brian, Mos, Mewes and me. It's pretty good. Glad to have Jeff on there, as he wasn't around for the first one (which will also be included on the new disc).

So the original will be on too...

Very cool.

What about the Deleted Scenes and Alternate Ending from the original DVD? Will they be represented some how on the new DVD set (are they in the 103 minute version)?

Thanks!

The 103 minute version is the Sundance cut. So it definitely has the alternate ending, and I believe it would have the other scenes back in as well (and possibly even other little trims, available on viewaskew.com [or they used to be]).

*Everything* from the old disc is on the new disc, this is what Kevin Smith has said time and time again. However, yes, I'm not sure whether the deleted scenes will be also available as a seperate, bonus feature, or *only* in the Sundance version.

Okay. I just wanted to make absolutely sure before I ditched the first DVD. I was going to pick up the 3-disc version anyway but was unsure if I was going to keep the first release.

Thanks for the responses.

Anyone notice that the spine says that this is a 5 disc set? I'm assuming that this is a mis-print, but that would be sweet.

It looks like a 5 to me, too, but I can see how it could go either way.

In any case, it's a 3-disc set.

Yes we do. Kevin Smith says it won't be on the set.

The press releases say the TV pilot IS, Kevin Smith says it ISN'T...someone better set that straight, damn it.

Later.

It is straight. The horse's mouth (or some would say, the horse's ass) himself says that it IS NOT going to be on there.

That's pretty definitive.

Is there a chance that the pilot MIGHT be included as an "Easter Egg"?? Didn't they do something like that for that cut of T2??
