Twenty Bucks on DVD? (No, not twenty bucks *for* a DVD:)

Okay, so it only grossed $64,852... what are the odds that _Twenty Bucks will ever make it to DVD? Anyone else hoping? I'd ask if there's any news, but I really doubt it.

If you don't know about this, it's a fairly cool movie worth looking out for. The premise is to follow a twenty dollar bill as it gets passed from one person to another. You end up with a lot of intertwining vignettes which, now that I've gotten into Altman, seem reminiscent though not on that level. I haven't seen this since it came out eleven years ago but I'm really curious how I'd perceive it now.

I was just searching for this movie on Saturday! It's funny that you posted this! A friend of mine had it in high school and I remeber it being very entertaining.

I would love for it to be released on dvd. Supposedly it is released on VHS but I couldn't find it in that format, not like I would buy it on vhs anyway!

Maybe now that Spalding Gray finally killed himself, this will get some more attention.

I didn't even remember him having been in it (only saw the movie once). I'm looking at the cast now and it's really surprising how cult-friendly this should be:

Linda Hunt, Christopher Lloyd, Elisabeth Shue, Brendan Fraser, Gladys Knight, William H. Macy, (the sadly late) Spalding Gray, Jeremy Piven, David Schwimmer, Steve Buscemi and for 80s t.v. geeks there's David Rasche (Sledge Hammer?) and Matt Frewer (Max "should be on DVD" Headroom).

I'd love to see this on DVD as well. I first saw it on one of the movie channels late one night when nothing else was on. Great movie.

$25 dollar MSRP! You gotta be kidding me. I guess they are trying to recoup some of the $$$ lost.

I did however enjoy the film.

Did this get pushed back? The date has been dropped from DVD Empire and Amazon just removed its page entirely.

I hope it comes out soon, as I'd buy it in a second. I really, really enjoyed this film.

I'd like to know also. This and 'The Thing Called Love' that was supposed to get released recently just disappeared altogether and I haven't heard why.

Well, it's now listed for 7/5/05. One would hope that if it has been given another date that it isn't likely to be pulled again.

from davis dvd

Follow an Andrew Jackson as it makes its way through the hands of an all-star cast and their intertwining stories in the terrific Twenty Bucks. The disc from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is due on July 5th with a 1.85 anamorphic transfer and a Dolby Digital 2.0 track. Surprisingly, bonus materials are actually pretty good. Look for two commentary tracks featuring director Keva Rosenfeld, along with various cast and crew members, a "Writing, Casting and Pre-Production" featurette and a "Filming and Editing" featurette. Retail is $24.96 (although you'll probably find it for - you guessed it - $20).

Nice. I was expecting it barebones. So for an extra $4.96 you get 2 commentaries and a featurette. Sweet
