Russ Meyer Vixen Trilogy

Seeing how bloody expensive these DVDs are, I am just opting to get just one. I've heard the second one is the best "Beneath the Valley of the Ultravixens" (I think). The one with Charles Napier as the evil sheriff.

I wanted the opinions of the freak-cases that watch movies like these. Which one do you think is the best?

mud...

I'd recommend Meyer's best known film FASTER PUSSYCAT KILL, KILL which is available only as a French import (along with Up!, Vixen, Supervixens, Motor Psycho and Beneath The Valley of The Ultravixens). The unfortunate problem with the above mentioned imports is that the English audio track contains subtitles that cannot be removed. You may also want to check out 20th Century Fox's new import of Beyond The Valley of The Dolls. As far as the overpriced region 1 discs that Russ is selling (at $39.99 each), I'd recommend MUDHONEY, VIXEN and LORNA. Even though $40 is steep for these practically bare boned flicks, it beats Russ's $59.99 price for the old VHS editions. I don't even remember what the laserdiscs sold for, but I'm sure they weren't cheap.

I loved Beneath the Valley. Very funny/goofy.

Vixen IS the best one of these, the sucess of the film in theatres helped push Meyer to new heights, eventually leading to his Fox deal (and my fav BVOD)

You fellows should peruse this thread and look at this link and consider obtaining a region free, PAL playing dvd player if you don't have one already.
