It is from BU? Which should I get? Basically, I want whichever one is most complete (i.e. most nasty stuff). Why does BU not list this version on their website?

It's there, it just doesn't come up on the Coming Soon page for some reason: http://www.blue-underground.com/movie.php?movie_id=74

Maybe they were hiding it for some reason?

Anyway, thanks for the link

what is up with the 99 Women release, BU's website only denotes the unrated edition, yet there is a X-rated version.

What's the deal here, I am finding contradicting info the web about both versions:

- unrated: 90min (DVD includes supplements)
- X-rated: 98min (DVD doesn't include "unrated" editions supplements)

The unrated edition is the preferred Franco cut, the X-rated is a second cut with hardcore footage added by a distributor/producer.

I think originally the plan was to release a one disc edition of the unrated cut, and a two disc set with both cut, but now it appears they're releasing each cut on a seperate disc.

I'm getting both, BUT...

...the x-rated is now delayed until March sometime, due to problems at the oversea mastering plant. Thanks to Darryl for the info, who had dinner with Lustig a few nights ago.

Giles, yeah, the extras seem to only be on the unrated version, not listed on the x version's specs. I'm going to get both, probably.

"This title usually ships within 1 to 2 months."

This is what it saysfor the French version of 99 Women on my order. Man, this sucks.... it's holding up my other discs. I decided to cancel it so the other discs will ship.

Well, it's a Jess Franco movie from the late 60's... decent cast... women behind bars + naughty warden. If this sounds interesting, then I'd say it's a good movie. Not great but good.

My local Best Buy had 99 Women. I looked for Venus in Furs but couldn't find it.

I ordered both Venus in Furs and 99 Women (X-Rated) from DDD. I didn't pay much attention to the shipping notification and was taken aback when only Venus In Furs arrived. Now I know why. Anyway, I broke down and bought the Director's Cut of 99 Women at Borders today.. I initially assumed the X-Rated version was the superior version, which is why I only ordered that one from DDD. I'm glad I know otherwise now, although it will be nice to have both. I dig BU's limited editions.

An interesting side note, Borders also had what was called a Spaghetti Western Double Shot, which was an official BU package containing the two non-Django films (can't even remember their names) for the price of one. I didn't know they were even releasing that.

Blue Underground two-pack -> $12!

from the bargains forum...check it out

two packs available so far

REVOLVER / GRAND SLAM
Contamination/The Shape Of Things To Come
MANNAJA: A MAN CALLED BLADE/ Run Man Run
blood of fu manchu/castle of fu manchu

I also noticed that circus of fear had the msrp slashed in half to only 9.99. I'm sure some other titles have had the same drop.

does anyone know what scenes are exactly added to the X version, and is the Unrated revealing at all or is that not really part of the story? (I am confused as to what this movie is actually about) Thanks.
