Bewitched and I dream of Jeannie coming in 2005!!! (6/21)

To coincide with theatrical films based on these shows Columbia is planning on releasing these shows on dvd. It is way too early to know the specs. Good news though.

Always had the hots for Elizabeth Montgomery and Barbara Eden when I was growing up and watching these shows. Especially when Samantha got hip and started wearing go-go boots and mini-skirts. Not sure if I'd really collect these but admittedly they are good news for many.

Any good shots/pics of Elizabeth Montgomery ?

The first season of BEWITCHED is being released in Japan next month in one set. The original B/W prints are not included, though, all the shows are colorized. (These colorized versions have also been seen on the Hallmark Channel, but now TV Land is running the original B/W prints.)

For the casual fans: the first and second season of BEWITCHED and the first season of JEANNIE were shot in black and white. Later seasons were color from the start. All of these have been colorized and seen on TV throughout the world in recent years.

Fans may want to let the studios know their preferences (B/W, color, or even both).

OMFG, colorized I Dream of Jeannie? Please God nooooooo. I rather the studio leave it alone and release it in B&W.

I'm wondering how many boys had their first, to be tactful, sexual "awakening" while watching Elizabeth Montgomery. 'Cause I did.

I think my stable included both Jeannie and Samantha. Well, and Mary Ann. But Jeannie had it all going on. The ultimate fantasy. Heck, she even had a cousin who could qualify as a twin. It was a good time to be a young lad.

AWESOME NEWS! i love these 2 shows! will be first in line to pick them up. mmmm jeannie & samantha. would be nice to hear barbara eden commentary on the bellybutton controversy.

I've never been a big fan of Jeannie but always loved Bewitched. Have several VHS and most of the seasons on there, but its in desperate need of an upgrade. I have been foaming about Bewitched being released on DVD for years now, but if they colorize it, I'll be pissed beyond belief. I'm guessing in the 42 to 49 range for price.

Now all we need is Addams Family and my life is complete :)

stumbled across this, while making jokes in the other forum....Never seen this before, since i only saw this in re-runs...

What are the chances we will see this on the dvd.

I have this commerical on VHS. Almost positive it was on a Columbia House video. It *shouldn't* be too hard to put it on DVD.

Cameron 04-11-05 12:39 AM

Tabitha on the same day
