I bought several silver sharpies that work great - Also just saw Bruce Campbell a couple of weeks ago and got Bubba-Ho-Tep signed; unfortunately due to some problems in NYC, he's only signing one item for each copy of the new book you have (and you have to choose the book or something else). I just grabbed a copy off the shelf and took it up with me to get the DVD signed and then put the book back after the signing.

When I worked in TV news, we had George Wallace (the comedian) on as a guest, and I brought in my DVDs of 3 Strikes and Little Nicky in for him to sign (they were the only movies he was in that I owned on DVD). Unfortunately I was working on the show during his segment and had to have someone else get his sigs for me. And the boneheads gave him a PINK DRY ERASE MARKER to sign with.

Needless to say, there was barely any signature left when the discs got back to my office.

I've got RUDY signed twice by Sean Astin; once on the cover for me and once on the insert with a personal message for my daughter ("Go Irish")

My copy of SO I MARRIED AN AXE MURDERER has been signed by John Taylor. He plays the fiddler in the wedding scene. I didn't realize that he was in the film, but I had seen him many times at concerts and festivals and was surprised to see him. So I appraoched him at the next Texas Highland Games for his signature.

I also have a CED (the old RCA videodisc format) of TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE signed by Gunnar "Leatherface" Hanson and Kim Henkel (one of the screenwriters) both of whom said "what's this?" when I asked him to sign.

Peter Riegert is coming to town for a screening of his new film. I intend to ask him to autograph my laserdisc of LOCAL HERO.

The title doesn't sound quite right - was it over a year ago, in Overland Park, KS?

He also signed a little promo card he had for a SCTV Season 1 for a friend of mine who couldn't be there - the friend had introduced me to Strange Brew in the first place many years ago. As he was signing it, he stopped and said 'You can't write over John Candy', so 'Thomas' was way over on the other side of the card.

I just found out that Bruce Campbell will be doing a signing and movie screening this coming week, I'm really looking forward to it - I figured I and my fiance will each take one of the LE's of AOD (my favorite Bruce-based movie thus far).

My little display area-to-be - the McKenzie record/signed dvds/McFarlane toys of 'the Great White North', then smaller Ash and Evil Ash McFarlane(s) / Bruce signed DVDs.

Awesome. Keep `em coming.

I'm hoping to get the following at the Austin Film Festival (October 20-27):

Mike Judge (Office Space, and The Animation Show)
Harold Ramis (Hard to choose just one, but probably Groundhog Day)
Judd Apatow (God, I wish The 40 Year Old Virgin was on DVD. Probably "Undeclared")
Shane Black (Lethal Weapon)
Terry George (Hotel Rwanda)
James Franco (Sonny)
Brent Hanley (Frailty)
Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore Criterion)
Claire Danes (Romeo + Juliet)
Jeff Daniels (Dumb and Dumber)

Uwe Boll will also be there. I won't bother meeting him.

Only one I have is by Godfrey Reggio.

If you made a donation to IRE a few years back, they sent you a Koyaanisqatsi DVD in a sleeve signed by him.

This thread has been going for a while:

Sign my DVD please?

Maybe we can get a mod to merge the two?

Ah. I searched for "Signed" and "Autographed," and nothing turned up. I suppose that's why. Thanks for the link, it'll be a fun thread to read through. And yeah, a mod can go ahead and merge the two threads (though it might be best to use my thread title, or a similar one, so the thread will show up in a search next time).

Cool! I didn't realize that anime DVD autographs existed, very neat.

As for me, no signed DVD's, just an autographed NAPKIN from Robin Williams. It was a napkin or a dollar bill. Besides, it's a great conversation piece.
