Wow, lots of memories with a multitude of the shows mentioned.
One show I absolutely loved when I was younger was Superted. I'd love to see it again, but I fear if I did it would only ruin my fond memories...
I looked, and I found out that Danger Mouse and Superted are on DVD. But like the Dungeons & Dragons DVD set I posted a link to in my last post. These DVDs are also region 2, for the UK.

EDIT:There was something wrong with the links I posted in this post. Just go to here:

http://www.blackstar.co.uk

Do a search for Danger Mouse or Superted and you will see they are on DVD!

snorlaxnut posted about D&D - but those interested in not only Dungeons & Dragons, but also my favourite to be on dvd...Visionaries is that they are both being released on region 2..

Anyone know if these are Region 2 - or are they region free?

I looked at Blackstar and looked at http://www.cdcovers.cc and found the covers of the Danger Mouse DVDs Blackstar is selling.

All the Danger Mouse DVDs are region 0.

As for the Superted DVDs: Blackstar has region 0 under the "DVD extras" section for each title.

Isn't Garfield already on DVD? Well Garfield and Friends is... That was great! Is that in Season or Volume sets?
I loved the droll, unemotional voice of Lorenzo Music as Garfield

In addition to the Ant and Aardvark (well it was actaually a 60's cartoon since it was part of The Pink Panther Show ) they should release The Inspector.. HILARIOUS! Perhaps when the film hits?

I didnt like The Smurfs but can vouch for Muppet Babies.. top stuff Could Disney release that some day now they own the Muppets (I think?) Sesame Street doesn't count though....

I used to love that! Thundercats.. HO!
I'm sure that has been announced recently as it was included as a sneak peak on another DVD.

Here's the link:

Thundercats: Season 1

Sorry about the multiple threads.
They should release THE RACOONS on DVD, that surely had the best theme tune ever - "Run With Us" won its' composer a Grammy and was sung by Lisa Loughheed - released as a single. 80's power pop at its best!

I'd also like to see Spiderman (90's?) on DVD in proper season sets. I mean if the 1967 series can get its own set..

This thread has been silent for two years so I figured that I would wipe away some of the dust.

With the DDD sale out this week, I was hoping knowledgeable people could recommend any 80's cartoon DVD's that I don't have or should have. I already own:

Blackstar
Galaxy High
Garfield
Gummi Bears
Heathcliff
He-man
Jem
My Little Pony
She-ra
Superfriends
Voltron

(non cartoons)
Fraggle Rock
Punky Brewster
The Storyteller

Thanks!

Ha! I've been meaning to start a similar thread. Guess it was already there for the picking.

I'd love to see some of, not necessarily full sets, because they probably don't hold up. Smurfs and Muppets excluded of course:

Muppet Babies
Smurfs
Snorks
Shirt Tales
MASK
Turbo Teen
the Biskits

Smurfs is coming to DVD next month. Now, if we could only get Snorks and Muppet Babies I'd be happy......for now.
