X-Men (2000) DVD variations

I am looking to buy a copy of the original X-Men (2000) movie on DVD, and not the "1.5" release. I'd prefer the "deluxe packaging", pictured here: http://i1037.photobucket.com/albums/...3/P1040194.jpg . Amazon has three entries for the widescreen film:

http://www.amazon.com/X-Men-Widescre...1286101&sr=1-1
http://www.amazon.com/X-Men-Single-W...1286101&sr=1-7
http://www.amazon.com/X-Men-Widescre...1286101&sr=1-2

which I can't tell apart. But I'm guessing the 2006 re-release is a keepcase. Can somebody tell me which is the "all cardboard" variety, or at least give me the UPC code? Thanks!

I don't have a UPC code to help out, but have you tried used DVD stores? I'd imagine you could find this packaging for no more than a few bucks.

Yes, the disc was re-released in 2006 around the time TLS came out in a standard case.
I also think after the first pressing the digi version lost the metallic look and was printed on a matt style board. This was limited as by 1.5 was released soon after, and the one disc pretty much dissapered until the 2006 release.

I still have my original 2000 release (Complete with bonus mini comic and mini cd rom!)
I love this design so much I'll probably never get rid of it!

There was a CD rom and mini comic included as well?? Wow, that's not even in the photo...unless there are even more variations? I want one even more now. :) The UPC should help, thanks!

Looking forward to your post. :) (I haven't spent any time yet researching your bonus version, but might it have been a Target/Best Buy/Circuit City/Wal-Mart exclusive? Still weird that I hadn't run across it before posting here.)

Ok, so now that I look at the packaging I see that time has played tricks on my mind.
There was no mini comic included, I had an exclusive (Normal size) Toys R Us comic from the theatrical release that I somehow remembered coming with the dvd.

I guess the reason I thought that, is because of the sealed pack of two collector's cards with the dvd that I may have mistook for a mini comic. Both sides of the card pack have the same X-men logo and I haven't ever opened them so I'm not sure what images are on the other sides.

The Dvd came with a folded 4 page insert, A fox coupon booklet, 2 collectors cards and the bonus CD rom. If I remember correctly I bought this at Best Buy on release day in 2000. Which was probably in November because I was doing other holiday shopping. My Best Buy card was my first credit card so any dvd I bought between 99 and 01 was probably purchased there.

Wow, that's certainly a collectible. :) I definitely hadn't found one in my travels, but now just noticed a single "like new" copy for sale at Amazon. And I think you answered my other question, too. Of the 2000, 2001, and 2006 versions, this is the original release. But as the cd-rom doesn't appear to have anything that isn't in the X-Men 1.5 set, I shall likely stick with the no-frills version. Thanks again for the help!
