Re: What is your favorite disc artwork?

The holographic are nice but i prefer just the normal ones that are close to the same art as the cover. I hate ones with no art and just lettering and the all grey like how most Miramax or Dimension used to be but now Paramount are doing the same.

The Dark Knight 2 Disc was good but the Single Disc had the crappy greyscale artwork.

Holographic....You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

the disc art was holographic or the slipcase?
bc i remember the slipcases on those mentioned were accented with shiny metallic (not holographic) and nice, but not the disc itself...

I still have no idea how you can say that the discs are holographic. Please describe how they are so.

You like transparent imagery. None of those are holograms.

I've always been a fan of the disc art for the Dogma special edition.

all, not holograms...

Holography (from the Greek, ὅλος-hólos whole + γραφή-grafē writing, drawing) is a technique that allows the light scattered from an object to be recorded and later reconstructed so that it appears as if the object is in the same position relative to the recording medium as it was when recorded. The image changes as the position and orientation of the viewing system changes in exactly the same way as if the object was still present, thus making the recorded image (hologram) appear three dimensional.

Re: What is your favorite disc artwork?

There's no...name for them. The printed image just isn't totally opaque.

I'd say they're more lenticular than holographic, but lenticular means it would have more than one image. Maybe reflective is a better word?
