I've recently decided I will be getting all of the SNL season sets as they are released. This of course means that I will need to get 1-3 that has already been released.

I've noticed that there is apparently a limited edition larger packaging initially, and then they go on to a cheaper looking smaller package. Should I bother trying to get 1-3 in the original large packaging and continue to get them as they are released as such, or do you see them even continuing releasing them in the larger casing for much longer?

Any input is appreciated.

The bigger boxes come with a scrapbook which is pretty cool. If you don't care about it, go for the thinner sets.

I was able to get a scrapbook for Season 1 inside the smaller box, but I think they got away from that in the following seasons.

I doubt they'll keep the big boxes up past season 5. That's the end of the original cast, and season 6 will be lucky if it gets released at all. If it does, I expect a much smaller package.

I really hope they continue to release these, as I am jsut about to pull the trigger and start collecting them. The cases dont matter to me, as I would make some custom cases for them.
