What to do with DVD cases?

I've got hundreds of singles, clear, white, double, triple, etc. Due to space I've gotten rid of everything except the discs, so what to do with all these practically new cases? Is recycling it? Seems like such a waste to dump them into the trash.

Maybe some kids could use them in some craft project?

Do people buy them on Ebay? Doesn't seem like the cases on there are selling. I'd rather just give them to someone than hassle over a couple bucks.

I'd buy them. how much or do u want me to just pay for the shipping?

I sure hope you're planning to at least keep the digipaks? They're not quite so easy to replace, after all.

Imail724 01-29-08 06:25 PM

I'd also be more than happy to take a few off your hands.

Nope...but it's only plastic and cardboard. In a year I've come full 180 degrees around. I'm putting them all into DJ cases. I know it sounds painful but it's really become a fun project. Today I threw out about 20 cardboard cases...recycled of course.

More coming guys so if you really want them, I'd send them to you free with shipping.

How much to ship about 20-25 single disc cases to me in New York?

Imail724 02-23-08 01:42 PM

Hey, TheV, have you got my PMs? For some reason they are not showing up in my sent folder, I sent two.

I got tired of giving these away. Even moving to boxes of 100-300 it was too much trouble. So I found a place to send them to http://www.cdrecyclingcentral.com/home

They say they pick up but I've never got them to actually show up. Luckily I'm nearby so I just load a truck and dump it.

And there is another on the east coast.

DVD cases are a space hog. It's a shame they didn't use the slim DVD cases from the get go.

Man, you could really help me complete some Cardboard slipcovers. Don't throw them out. I'm sure we can use them here.
I'm looking for The Messengers Slipcover..on the top of my list. If you want to forward me you cardboard slipcovers..I'll take them and recycle the ones that no one cares for.
