For instance the ones i can think of currently are:
The Terminator
Godzilla (1998)
Gundam Wing: The Endless Waltz
all these were first released with holo art but then just back to normal printing, what happend?
anyway thank you.

Uncle Sam, Jack Frost, the Frightners...
memory hazy but i think they had holographic covers on vhs, and maybe on the dvds as well.
why remove it from future printings? no idea. it might be a bit more expensive and cover art is a gimmick for the first run.

Heat SE.
Now, for clarification:
A "Holo-foil" cover is at once silvery, but changes colors when held to white light.
A "Lenticular" cover is a shifing (sometimes 3-D) image that uses a thin clear plastic sheet, with fine ridges that act as lenses (Day After Tomorrow, Gothika SE and so on).
