A warm welcome to Timmio, a good friend of mine I have known for years. He is a great designer and a great addition to the dvd cover art world. He has done a nice job on the SG-1(I've already had the priviledge of seeing them) set so I may or may not go though with my plans of one.

Wow, very nice. But you're right, that Selected Renderings seems off a bit. Maybe File 001 or what ever # the movie is in relation to their shorts.

i liked the selected renderings in a nerd sort of way. ;)

selected renderings does seem a little off. i like something simple like "Disney Collection" since there is talk that Pixar will soon sign with a different studio once their Disney deal is over (following the release of Cars in 2005). damn nice design though.

I'm glad you all like the design. I should have "A Bug's Life" up later on tonight.

How do you like the sound of Digital Dreams Collection... I'm trying it out on the "Bug's Life" cover and I think it fits a little better.

Hopefully I'll be submitting the first two covers to DVDcoverart tonight. How long do you usually have to wait to get your covers accepted on there? I'm pixarman on DVDcoverart's site...

I like'em but I wish you would use the original poster art for each film.

That's a good looking cover! I take it that the Toy Story 2 cover will feature Woody?

BTW, where can I see those SG-1 covers that Michael Corvin is talking about?

I will probably still do a matching set for my disney collection using the original posters. ;)

Well see there you go. We're all sharing the love here. Corvin's gonna do up the original posters in his set, which I might add is an awesome set. I wish I had thought of doing it first. ;)
I'd really like to find some type of foil paper to print those Disney covers out on...that would be sweet!!

The reason for me not using the original poster art for the Pixar discs is that they didn't fit the style I was going for. Plus some of the posters are pretty plain. I wanted the cover to be dynamic and showcase the main character(s) of the film.

UPDATE: I updated a few things on the Toy Story cover. The spine is now just slightly blue. I added Luxo Jr. to the spine, he'll be there on all the sets... I also changed the name to "Digital Dreams Collection." How does that title work?

Great covers ... too bad that in theory I have no use for either of them ... I own all the movies but they are R2 ... and Disneys tends to change the releases according to each region ... even depends on the country..

that being said ... I print them and just use em as covers anyway, the wrong info on the back is just something i'll have to ignore then :)

Also looking forward to the SG-1 covers ... although I'll probably never replace the ones I have ... it are over 30 covers that need to be replaced ...

Of course if they are as magnificent as some people claim they are ... I might be persuaded anyway .. will depend in how much the R1 releases are different from the R2-Benelux releases ...

I was thinking the same thing. Do I really want to spend a bunch of money on thinpaks and 30+ print outs? I opened up the one I was working on last night, I think I will finish it. It fits a 5 disc case, so only 1 print out per season. :)

If they are thinpaks or 5-disc cases I certainly have no use for them ... since I can't buy any of them around here ...
