Incidentally, I was doing to research on Bob Peak and really have come to love his work more and more. I've never seen the piece you're using for SII anywhere other than your cover, and there doesn't seem to be anything for the remaining films.

Do you have ideas on how to complete the series with "Peak-like" art, or will the two covers alone satisfy you? Just curious.

The art from the Superman II cover is from the 1998 (I think that's the right date) Rhino release of the Superman soundtrack. I believe it's Bob Peak art, but an not 100% sure. The're's additional art within the cd insert, so covers from those are possible.

Just pulled out my copy of the Rhino/Warner Archives two-disc set for the first film (dated 2000), and I don't see any art other than the cover. I probably have a different edition.

Regardless, even if it isn't Peak's work, the style brings it damn close and makes for a perfect compliment to the first cover.

A question to both Doc and anyone that might know...

Doc's has said that his Superman II cover uses Bob Peak art that was featured in an SI soundtrack released by Rhino.

How many releases were there because my copy (2 discs, from 2000, cardboard sleeve) doesn't have any art other than on the cover. If there's more, I'd love to see them...

I don't have the CD myself, but I believe it's from the insert for the Superman: The Movie (1998 Re-recording) conducted by John Debney and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

Thanks! As for the Bob peak artwork, I use the images from the Bob Peak site but end up having to do quite a bit of retouching to them as they're quite small. I haven't found anything larger in regards to the Trek art. If I do, I'll let youi know.

Dr. Zaius, these covers are awesome, I really appreciate the work that went into the creation of them!

Is there any chance that you could offer them in Photoshop format (or whatever format you've created them) with all the graphical elements combined on one layer except for the text? This way the german, french and dutch guys can use them with their version of the back-cover texts and PAL run-times.

Let me see how much I can compress the original photoshop files. Before I save them as jpegs, they're huge (usually at least 35 mb) because I like having everything in many layers. E-mail me and let me know which ones you're interested in and I'll see what I can do in terms of getting the documents slimmed down for you.

I think its great if you can add the UPC code I get one when you are finished.
