newbie question
 

Hi,

i'm a newbie around here and i'd like to start to make custom covers. But as far as i've looked for i didn't find the font i need.
It's the font mainly used in the back of the cover about the languages, captions, single or double layer, approx time. i'm sure you know what i mean
I tried with the idetified font site but the result do not satisfy me
because they say it's futura condensed but i'm not quite sure it is.
So if anyone of you knows.....

Probably just some variation of Arial. Try this site for mystery fonts:

Helvetica Nueue 67 Medium Condensed.

That's not it, at least not on the covers I just grabbed randomly (Chicken Run, Down with Love)

The C is noticeably different. On the cover, the C is a perfect half oval, with the end caps ending perfectly vertically like this |

shows the C coming over the top, well over half an oval, and the ends up horizontal _ , parallel to each other.

The G is noticeably different as well, with an extra tail sticking down to the baseline.

Whatever the font is when filling in this reply form looks correct, actually. The C and G in my example look near perfect.

Can anyone give me a link to a tutorial on how to make custom covers? also, what programs do i need?
