I'd buy myself a nice house but not a big one I only need so much space. The rest I would put away. Also by the time you pay taxes he will have around 600,000. Also a mil will not last super long in this world. You'd be shit out of luck if you had health porbs you would use that money fast. I'd also go to school and take some more classes.

Buying crap I don't need is the last thing on my mind.

I've driven across the country (live in MA) twice to reach Wyoming, it's a beautiful state, and I have no interest in living near a city. As long as I'm within driving distance of a decent movie theater and a moderately sized town (bigger than my hometown with about 3000 people) I won't feel too isolated. I'd also consider New Mexico. I read that Los Alamos County has been rated the nicest place to live in America, and the average house cost was very affordable.

This reminds me of the external 250Gb hard drive I bought to fill with nothing but FONTS.

Yeah, I guess you could blow a million dollars on DVDs - but would you be able to buy them all? That would be awesome - just plonk down that much dough on EVERY DVD.

I guess you could probably get quite a discount from a major distributor if you were buying that many.
