the disc has had known problems loading in my main player, but it eventually works, after a brief cleaning with a cloth, but now it doesn't work at all. there is moderate dust on it ,but nothing too bad. should i contact miramax for a replacement, or should i hope that the local record store gets a used copy soon.

And you are sure this isn't a player issue?

Contacting Buena Vista should get you a replacement disc. The thread on the Jackie Brown subtitle flaw has the phone number. They sent me a brand new replacement copy Jackie Brown right away, along with an insert for Kiki's Delivery Service, which my copy was missing (this was only a few weeks ago). Very quick service.

I would imagine that you would at least have to send in the defective disc (without the case). That should be proof enough.
