Very very nice.

Althought I wish the border for WS was gold so it matches the border for EP1 and EP2.

Oh well...SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.

Maxflier 06-17-04 07:41 PM

Very nice indeed.

PJsig08 06-17-04 07:48 PM

WHo cares about the stupid border, looks pretty good. I don't care about all the minor details, I just like these three movies.

Thank you very little for your invaluable off-topic input

Wannabe 06-17-04 08:05 PM

sigh. I was hoping for the original poster art.

Wannabe 06-17-04 08:07 PM

Is that Ian McDiarmid on ESB?

Joe Molotov 06-17-04 08:11 PM

So are they still releasing the Lightside/Darkside boxes or is it just that one now? Because I really wanted the Vader head box over the cheesy retro Luke Skywalker open shirt one.

They want them to match the covers for EP1-3.

JoeyOhhhh 06-17-04 08:12 PM

Yeah, looks like its going to be a cannibalized version of ESB SE poster for that cover.

Vader is on the backside of the box

POWERBOMB 06-17-04 08:39 PM

Looks like the people will be raised on the box.....any idea if that is the case?

Snowmaker 06-17-04 08:42 PM

I have my SE poster DVD covers all printed and waiting. The spines are even gold and match the prequels. :D

billy9215 06-17-04 09:02 PM

cover art = yikes...

almost looks like a gag..how anyone can like that is beyond beyond..

oh well, disappointed...so far

jeffkjoe 06-17-04 09:06 PM

Why does the box art still advertise this as the "Star Wars Trilogy"?

Should be referred to now as the "Star Wars Saga"

kevin75 06-17-04 09:12 PM

i like the silver fonts, but don't much care for the humans. :(

ignition 06-17-04 09:13 PM

Man, a lot you guys bitch a lot.

Anyways, I think it looks very cool, I'll definitely be picking this up lickety split.

Umm, this is an Internet message board filled with Star Wars freaks and fanatics....of course they're gonna complain about every worthless detail. Once again, the box looks fine, the movies are classics...any SW fan who pretends like they're not gonna buy this is lying out their ass.

Terrell 06-17-04 09:34 PM

Well, I've never been a big fan of the Episode I & II DVD covers. These are of the same style, so if these are legit, I'm not big on them either. But, it's nothing to get too upset over, simply because I can print my own covers. So it's no big deal.

Okay, fanboys, is that Ian McDiarmid on the cover of ESB?

Hey bud, I was hoping for the original movies. The cover art just proves Lucas is doing everything possible to make the classic trilogy match the new one.

AnonomusBob15 06-17-04 09:53 PM

Well, they are his films, he can do as he pleases.......

Yes, it absolutely is. (Although, it appears to be a shot from straight out of RotJ.)

calhoun07 06-17-04 10:00 PM

Is the pictured bonus disc included in one of the cases pictured or will it have it's own case? If it has it's own case, I'd like to also see the cover for that!

Tscott 06-17-04 10:03 PM

HATE the roman numerals. This will only inspire more people to say things like "I've been a fan of the Star Wars films ever since I saw Episode IV as a kid". The first movie is called Star Wars. Period. That's what it was called back in 77 when I saw it, that's what it'll always be. I don't care what the director now says.

(But, will I be buying this when it comes out? Darn tootin!)
