Since I already had the collector's edition, I sold the shrink wrapped Spiderman from the Deluxe for $15, so I essentially paid $1 and tax to get the bonus disk (which wasn't that worthwhile as already pointed out) and the movie ticket. Otherwise I wouldn't have bought the Deluxe.

I went to finally pick up the superbit today at Best Buy - they had the Superbit and the 3 Disc Deluxe Edition, but they also had the Limited Edition big box set from 2002 with the 2-disc and the extra disc with Kevin Smith and Stan Lee also for just $19.99. I went with that one.

I got the box set the first time around - to me, esp now that Best Buy has it for $20, that is by far the best choice.

You can find our very detailed comparison review of all three (Special, Deluxe and Superbit) US region 1 releases of Spider-Man here.

Snippet:
Well, how do we sum up Spidey’s first proper big screen outing? Quite easy, really.
Living up to the moniker, he is truly AMAZING! Awesome movie, great direction from a helmer who instinctively knew what he doing and a terrific cast that embodied the tale with real commitment and took geek-genre material into an almost literary realm. Fantastic stuff and long may the franchise continue. Run with it, it’s got legs. Eight of them.

I just found a used copy of the 3 disc set for $10 last night. Wasn't high on my list but at that price I couldn't pass it up.
