Brief, but still good as one could hope for (There's a wee bit more of them in the easter eggs)

My only gripe: The audio commentary.
If Tarantino says it's the "best directed movie ever", then why aren't we given any indication of it in Richard Schickel's snooze-track?

Actually the Tarantino quote says that it's his "favorite" movie, so Schickel's drone may or may not be appropriate.

It's too bad they couldn't have also included a QT commentary just to get some energy and enthusiasm for the film on there.

Isn't the original release not 16:9?

I'd really love to get an anamorphic version of the original video release.

It's too bad they didn't make the new set definitive and include the original version on another disc. That would have been a class act.

the original is cheap enough to pick up and add to the set

Negative, the original release is anamorphic... Only one of the trilogy with a proper transfer. You can pick it up pretty much anywhere for ~ $10.

can't believe no one has noticed that a certain website is referenced in the accompanying booklet (eberts review) for this release...check it out...

Ah, okay - so it's just Fistful and Few Dollars More that aren't anamorphic.

Sweet - yeah, I may pick up the original then, just to have the old tv and video version I remember from my youth.

Yup... And that's a real pisser, I'd love to have both for the collection but I stopped buying non-anamorphic DVDs years ago... So, MGM, get on the ball with new transfers already... And clean up Hang Em' High while you're at it... Lousy print used for the transfer, even if it IS anamorphic. :) Sadly, and unrelated, High Plains Drifter also needs an anamorphic transfer... :(

OK... Back on topic...
