From tvshowsondvd.com:

As giant fans of Futurama ourselves, we've been anxiously awaiting word from Fox about the release of the final box set for this series. Futurama - Volume 4 looks like it's coming out on Tue., Aug. 24th, according to the Fox TV-DVD consumer-oriented website.

I will be buying this. I love Futurama and can hardly wait for August. I really wish this show had not been cancelled.

You could look at it that way, but haven't these discs been ready to go for years? I mean, Britain has had them all for at least two years, right? [I know that they finished the DVD for season three before one ep had even aired.]

As happy as I'll be to pick this up on Monday the 23rd at Wal-Mart (1 day early, just like Seasons 1-3), it'll still feel kind of like a funeral. This show deserved to continue.

That Trek episode was pure gold, hearing the cast again was pretty cool.

Maybe if sales are good enough they'll renew it for new shows.

Hey, it worked with the not-as-good Family Guy.

Woah there, let's not get into this debate. I love both shows, but I think Family Guy is even better than the Simpsons themselves.

There's two type of people. Those who like Family Guy better and those who like Futurama better. Saying any of the two is better then modern day simpsons is an understatement.

I'm a Futurama guy myself. it has that geek humor. While I can enjoy family guy for what it is. It suffers from a lot of hit and miss ratio on jokes.

That being said Futurama died for other reasons. Namely fox didn't have control over it like it did the simpsons so they never pushed it and they screwed it (both of them suffered this one) by putting it in bad time slots.

Futurama's production cost was higher then family guy, so bringing back family guy was a good idea. The CG is what hurts futurama's chances unless they cut down production cost.

I wonder if the box will glow in the dark like the R2 one does.

dang. I need to catch up on these Futurama sets.

question for anyone who has all the ones that are out now, is the episode with the alien who is after "Fry's Lower Horn" on one of them?

Yep, I can't wait for the episode about the great Star Trek Wars.

Or was it the great Star Wars Trek?

Spanish Fry is due out on this final release. It was the next to the last episode if I recall.
