Which is the better value: Best of Friends or Friends Season Sets?

I've seen the Best of Friends for seasons 1-4 priced at $5.99. Seems like a pretty good deal if they are indeed the best episodes. Has anyone compared the best of dvds to the season sets?

Well it depends on your opinion of "best". I buy the complete seasons because I like 'em all.

As long as there are season sets, I don't like having someone else decide which shows are "best".

Season sets all the way!

It depends upon how important the show is to you. Personally, I think that the show stinks, so neither is a "good value"... if you are a hardcore fan, then the season boxsets are the way to go. If you are a casual fan, the "Best of" discs are a great way to get a nice sampling of the show's seasons.

There are plenty of TV shows that I would love to have a few "Best Of" discs... one for each season. But there is no way I could justify the expense or the space of having every episode from every season of some shows.

Honestly, when I clicked on this thread, I thought it was a joke, no offense.

Season sets. No contest.

I would advise you to wait until the next seasom (season 8 comes out), and then get it from Best Buy. They always have a great deal if you are buying the complete set. When season 6 came out, it ended up being $118 out the door, for all six (less then $20 a season). When 7 came out, they did a similar thing, but I had already bought them when 6 was released.

Now, I am going to wait for 7-10 to all come out and hope for some kinf of similar deal.

Buy the Season sets - The best of I believe only deals with the first 4 seasons. They also might not be your favorites.

If you like the series buy the season sets. Why allow someone else to determine what is the best?

the best of's suck hard. i mean, the season 4 dvd misses "the one with the embryos" which was the episode where they have the contest for each others appartments.

The season sets are a way better deal. You just get more episodes for your buck.

well when you can get the entire season for around $25 shipped through STL @ amazon, it is really no question in my book.

Probably less than that when you do one of BB buy multiple season deals.

I'd wait until all 10 are out if you haven't started yet. The deals for buying all seven now are actually the cheapest way to get them...
