What is the deal with Vegas Vacation (aspect ratio)?

Hey all,

Okay, here's the deal. The Vacation series is one of my guilty pleasures, and Vegas Vacation was the first DVD I ever purchased (at the time, only available in Standard Fullscreen).

I ended up having to double dip on Christmas Vacation and the original when the SEs came out. No SE as yet for Euro or VV. Now, VV is no longer available at DDD, which leads me to believe that perhaps a new version is coming (that is not fullscreen).

Now, getting to my question. DVD Planet has Vegas Vacation listed as being Widescreen, which would be a first. Here is a link:

http://service.bfast.com/bfast/click...908&format=DVD

Now, two things are wrong with this ad. First, the Enlarged Back Graphic shows that the disc is Standard Version (the same one I have), not Widescreen, as the ad claims. I realize that maybe they used old cover art for a re-release, but if that is the case, why is the old release date of 07/08/97 still listed?

The second thing is the SKN #. The SKN # on mine is the same as the enlarged back graphic they have in this listing, which is different then the SKN # listed in the listing text.

So, short story long, my question is:

Is the current release of Vegas Vacation Widescreen (meaning a re-release) or is it a mistake, and is still only available in Foolscreen?

Its widescreen, I saw it at Best Buy and Target. It must be a re-release.

Thanks guys. I also just found both at Bestbuy.com:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....equestid=33641

The funny thing is that according to Best Buy, the WS is PG-13 whereas FS is PG (plus $5 more for WS).

Thanks again!

Also, the European Vacation disc that's out now it a sort of special edition. It has commentary with some cast members, and I thought it has some other crap on it.
