Which Studio is most of the DVD's you own, from?
Of the major Hollywood Studios which one counts for most of the DVD's that you own?
I have no idea, I never have stopped to think about it.
No idea, if I were to guess...Warner, since iit seems every other disc on my shelf is a damn snapper!

Vivid NO WAIT I MEAN Oh crap.
How do you delete posts? |
If Disney and Buena Vista (and presumably Miramax) are combined then Warner and New Line should be as well. Not the greatest poll...
Warner for me all the way, since I love old movies and they do such a good job with them. I also have all lot of Fox, including Fox Studio Classics titles that I add to each month (I have them all).
Warner, followed by Columbia-Tristar, Fox, and Buena Vista.
I too guess Warner, but simply cannot bring myself to care...
Buena Vista rules my shelf at the moment. Warner, Paramount, Columbia/Tristar then 20th Century Fox, in that order, account for the remaining titles.
The DVD Profiler "export to .csv" came in handy for this poll. |
Off-hand, I'd say it's a toss-up between Columbia and Fox.
According to DVD Profiler, Pioneer leads the way with 109 titles.
Then, it's ADV with 49, 20th Century Fox with 41, Warner Bros. with 37, Bandai with 33, and Anchor Bay with 28. Of course, those numbers may be skewed because DVD Profiler is a user-defined database, and people don't know what a studio name is. |
Fox followed by Warner.
According to my Guzzlefish list it is Paramount, followed by a close second by Warner, and Fox is a distant third. However since I haven't updated my Guzzlefish list for a few months because of site problems I wouldn't be surprised if Warner is now number one.
Warner (26), then Universal (19), then Buena Vista (17).
Warner Brothers

Looks like a tie between Warner and Fox
Fox, with 47, which is about 15% of my collection. Warner is next, with 42.

I'm to lazy to go count right now, but I'm fairly certain it's Anchor Bay.
According to Guzzlefish
Warner 153 MGM 123 Fox 97 |
anchor bay
Fox, closely followed by Warner/New Line and Disney/BV
Fox and Warner Brothers are two close to call, then comes Buena Vista, then columbia, then New Line, the MGM, and then Universal, and Last is Paramount (I wonder if they have ever heard of a special feature)
According to Guzzlefish it's 60 from Warner Home Video
According to DVD Profiler it's 43 from Warner. Guzzlefish says 35 from Universal Studios DVD Profiler says 32, but that's broken up into "Universal" (19) and "Universal Pictures" (13) DVD Profiler says my 2nd most collected company is 20th Century Fox with 27 titles. Hmmm, lots of differences between what Guzzlefish and DVD Profiler report to me on this statistic, but I'll be damned if I'll go to the shelf and start counting to see which one is correct! |
