Invader Zim Vol 1 showing up early at HOT TOPIC

Got a tip off that the dvd was showing up at hot topics. So I went by to check out a different one and sure enough there it was in the small dvd selection they have. Invader Zim Vol 1: DOOM DOOM DOOM.

$19.99 price tag and sold! Release date is May 11 but I get my zim goodness now. YAY!

Two disc of DOOOOOOM! uh. I mean GOODNESS!

uh, I'll post some pics, insert and thoughts a little bit later, just wanted to give the heads up that it's showing up early at most hot topics. Goth chick that rang me out said they just got them in last night. I assume they don't know or care that it's selling before release date.

Um. pictures now.

The dvd has the pilot and a nice set of interviews.

On a negative note, Media Blasters really needs to get a new company intro.

ZIIIIM!!!!!

Is this store-wide, or specific to just your neighborhood store, and if so, which one?

I will so hit the HT at the Kodak Theater complex across the street from me in Hollywood, as soon as they open tomorrow.

I may have to pick this up. TV's Frank Conniff from MST3K was a writer on some of the episodes.

Actually, the hot topic in the Hollywood and Highland complex is the exact hot topic I got it at Basiamille. there was plenty left.

Had a tip off that the Hot Topic at the Onterio Mills Mall had them so I decided to check out the local one and bam. there it was. so most likely it showed up in there shipments on friday night and they just tossed it out on the rack. I'm willing to guess that the storage room is small for most hot topics and since they normally don't deal with release dates and the such they just toss the product out the moment they get it. Chances are good most of them will have it out.

Beating Street date

So I ran out Sunday morning and grabbed one of what looked like the last two at the Hollywood/Highland HT.

And the clerk tells me they're the only shop in town allowed to beat street date! What a coup!

Is this even precedented?

What, you mean on one of your days off?

I considered it, but my unwatched pile is massive enough as is, I'll wait for release day for a better price.

Oh please please please let my local store have one. It'd be the only way a trip there wouldn't be traumatic.

Besides pixy, think of all the under age hotties that will be dressed in dark tight gothic outfits...

In all cases, the price is 19.99 I don't see it going for anything like 15.99 release date since it's such a smaller title. I normally stay away from street date breaks because of price factors but for this one I just had to buy it.

I'm having trouble with that sentence construction, are you saying Pixy is an underage hottie in a tight gothic outfit?

(I'm pushing it aren't I? )

May 11th hmm? I get paid Friday, if we happen to be at the mall this weekend I may reconsider.

Well, my Hot Topic here in Albuquerque just got them in today, and they had no problem selling me one out of the box they shipped 'em in.

Oh, and no underage hotties either. You have to go to the schools to find 'em during the week....

So what's the deal with the boxset again? Not happening or will it come with the last volume?

It will come out near the end. Look for it around the time of the last volume or shortly thereafter AFAIK.

Do I need to wait and buy the box last? I mean is it going to have all the DVDs or is it going to be a (near) empty box?

The box will be empty (aside from an extra disc of special features only). Buy the volumes now.
