Where to find Duel (1970) TV movie DVD fairly cheap? AKA Spielberg's first film
There are always a few copies on ebay but I don't feel like shelling out anywhere from $40-$100 on this DVD. I guess the story behind it is that it was scheduled for release last August but it was recalled a few days before it was scheduled to come out. I was curious if anyone know where to find this for fairly cheap (around $20-$30) or anyone has a copy to sell
TIA

good luck finding a cheap copy. amazon had about a thousand copies left the week of the cancellation announcement, and thats how i got my copy. since i didn't like the movie, i traded it.

just keep watching all the ebay auctions for this one....eventually you'll get lucky and find one ending around $25-30.
I couldnt wait either, i actually paid $90 for mine.
"don't sit on the hood. That hood will dent. I told the kids not to get on the hood! Just see if you can bounce it loose, and I'll ... ah ... just bounce it loose."

Anyway, do you have a link on this story? I just canvassed "the usual suspects" and could find no information regarding this title.
Thanks!

a rumor that went around for why it was cancelled was because the lead actor lost a family member. and there were rumors that spielberg didn't release it because it was fullscreen while the oar for the european cut (the one on the dvd) was 1:85 widescreen.

Looks like it's up for pre-order at movietyme.com.
Anyone ever buy from them?
