What dvd has the funniest gag/blooper reel?

I'm just curious as to which dvd that you guys have seen has the funniest gag reel?

Mike Lowrey 04-15-04 10:24 PM

Quite frankly I don't find many blooper reels all that funny. However, there are a select few scenes amongst several blooper reels that are quite funny.

One that I can think of off the top of my head is one scene from the Highlander the Series where Adrian Paul and a guest star are dressed in Tuxes where they're walking up an alley and then they suddenly turn around, point their fingers like a gun and sing the James Bond theme. What made it funny was just the sudden turn out of nowhere and to break into the James Bond thing. Them wearing the tuxes made it even more interesting.

rush hour 2, the stuff with Jeremy Piven has me in stitches every time./

Mrs. Doubtfire - the one about the wilted and dead flowers.

Darkfriend 04-15-04 10:54 PM

"There's something about Mary" had some good ones.

I wish they had bloopers for "serious" movies though. Imagine Tom Hanks cracking up on his deathbed in Philadelphia?

digitalfreaknyc 04-15-04 11:14 PM

Probably the "Attack of the Clones" bloopers. Phantom Menace was great too...and Will and Grace Season 3.

Get Me Coffee 04-15-04 11:27 PM

Phantom Menace had some good ones of R2 banging into s hit.

I quote Chris Tucker:

"DAMN!!! He ain't gonna be in Rush Hour 3!"

Robert 04-16-04 01:11 AM

Pearl Harbor Vista Series - Ben and Josh imitating the animal crackers scene from Armageddon. Alec Baldwin yelling for Michael Bay to "shake the camera more"!

Daredevil - Jon Favreau is hilarious

Bad Boys 2 - the production diaries are just one long hilarious gag reel

The outtakes montage on Armageddon CC is hilarious, largely becuase of Billy Bob Thornton. He does sling blade impressions and makes fun of his own dialouge.

Funny stuff!

I second that!

The Fog had some funny outtakes, especially considering how low budget that flick was back in the day.

EskimoJoe 04-16-04 01:49 AM

The Rock when Ed Harris gets pissed off (ala "a fly pissed off a toilet seat")

costanza 04-16-04 01:59 AM

I 3rd that, but Bruce Willis and Steve Buscemi's comment about the dog did it for me.

I like how, at the end, Eisner and someone else come up behind Bruce Willis and say he has been let go. I won't give away the rest of it, but Bruce's reaction is classic. Also, Billy Bob's comment about "deep core drilling".

I thought the brief outtake reel on Patch Adams was brillaint. I wish it was longer than five minutes. I've watched that several times and always really crack up. Definitely check that reel out, it's one of the best gags I've seen yet on DVD.

POWERBOMB 04-16-04 04:19 AM

Rush Hour 2. The RH3 reference and the cell phone and Tucker constantly calling him Jackie.

Trigger 04-16-04 04:37 AM

Cannonball Run films.

The DVD of the Broadway musical <b>Putting It Together<b> was taped over a few performances, and has exactly one outake - Carol Burnett loosing her underwear on stage. Funny as it is, it's the reaction of her co-stars on stage that sends this one over the top.

That's a good one!

I like the Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back ones.

Static Cling 04-16-04 06:35 AM

I thought of Armageddon: CC as well. A more recent DVD with a decent gag reel is Cheaper By The Dozen.

kgrogers1979 04-16-04 10:11 AM

Star Wars Episode 2 has my favorite bloopers. One has Obi-Wan and Jango Fett fighting and Jango trips and falls off the stage. The other blooper I like is Jango tap-dancing with an umbrella.
