Only one Scorpion King?

I just finished watching the DVD Scorpion King starring the "Rock", and I was supprised that I actually liked it and thought it was really good. I could have sworn that they made another Scorpion King and I was going to buy that DVD also, but I can't find it for sale, or that there actually was a second Scorpion King made. Does anyone know if there is another S.K. DVD?

Sorry dude, but you must be confusing a dream with reality. There's only been one Scorpion King movie made. Although it was originally talked about another and even a true Mummy 3, but nothing on that franchise has surfaced recently.

In the meantime, be sure to pre-order Starship Troopers 2. :D

You're thinking of The Mummy 2.

I remember hearing Universal talk about making 2 more Scorpion King movies and 1 more Mummy so they could have 2 interlinked trilogies ala Star Wars. I think they wanted to downright copy Star Wars and have The Scorpion King go bad over the course of his films (as shown in The Mummy Returns), and ultimately redeemed in Mummy 3. I haven't heard anything about that since 2002 though, and The Rock doesn't seem to want to go back to that character anytime soon.

I'd love to see a sequel, but as was said, there are two movies that have the Scorpion King in it. The Mummy Returns and The Scorpion King.

Given that The Scorpion King failed to make a profit counting worldwide box office, I am not surprised that no sequel followed. As far as another Mummy sequel, I really don't know where else they could take that series. It seems played out.

one is enough in my opinion

Where did you see that? It was +$30 million alone in the US.

Uh, 30 mil wouldn't be remotely profitable. 30 mil wouldn't have covered the marketing.

But, according to Box Office Mojo, it made 90 mil in America, and 73 overseas. That's not bad, but the movie cost 95 (with marketing), so it didn't really make a profit. (the basic rule of thumb is you have to gross 1.5 times the cost in order to break even, but that's on the rise and the more expensive a movie is, the closer it comes to 2.)

Toss in DVD sales and i'm sure it didn't do too bad. Certainly not a huge success, but it was no bust, thats for sure.

i am sure it made money, definitly not alot, but there have been movies that havent made money that they have done a sequal too. I would like to see another one made (Michael Bay could direct it, would be awsome)

When I said +30, I meant it grossed 90 over the 60 costs in the US (not counting marketing). You said it failed to make a profit and that is incorrect any way you look at it.
