back in March, after years of fruitless hoping, i recently became calm to the fact that i would never see a release of this on dvd thanks to some allegedly 'authentic' comments in one of the other forums back in January.
4 weeks later i'm watching it in my HT.

catalog titles RULE! it was films like this- long before movies like Jaws and Star Wars and all the event movies of the 70s and 80's- it was movies like this, that i saw as a little kid on HBO, that corrupted me and made me a certified film buff geek for life.

sigh....nostalgia :). another package i was resigned to never seeing on this format-not after hearing how bad the sales were on the first set.

like watching it for the first time.
bought it primarily as demo material to check my pjs black levels, but realized now its just a great movie.

Kill Bill
overall didn't work for me, although there were sequences intermittently that had me involved.
and for the first time, i actually enjoyed lucy lius presence- very much.
won't be running out to see KBV2 anytime soon though.

The Big Bounce
widely panned late 60s Elmore Leonard adaption. i really enjoyed it and loved how it contrasted with sufficatingly self conscious Tarantino movie i watched before it.
the dialouge in particular resonated well with me- it was laconic and it rang true.
form subservient to function.

The Final Countdown
enjoyed it as much as i can ever recall.

also a couple eps from Dick Van Dykes 3rd season.
