Any difference between the 2 Waking The Dead DVD releases?

I was about to finally buy the Waking The Dead DVD, and saw that the most commonly available (and cheaper) version is the recently released Universal release. Unfortunately, I can't tell if this recent version has all of the extras (commentary, deleted scenes) of the original USA Films release.

I've only found conflicting or incomplete information on various sites, and i've almost been burned by re-releases with fewer features.

If anybody has the Universal release, could you confirm that the extras are still present or missing?

Thank You!

(For general info here's the amazon links for the first and second releases)

...or tell me of some dvd sites that show the back covers? i've tried dvdempire, dvd planet, and excalibur, but they all show the old cover with the first UPC.

thank you!

DDD & DVD Planet lists the UPC 02519226772 which features:
Commentary/Multi-Audi
Cast/Crew Biographies
Closed Caption
Deleted Footage
Making Of
Trailer

DVD Profiler lists the UPC 696306009924 which features:
Over 45 Minutes of deleted scenes
Director's commentary
Theatrical trailer
Featurette
Cast & Filmakers biographies/filmographies

They seem pretty identical.

ok, what it is, is that it's an old USA Films release, being rereleased by Universal since Universal bought them out some years ago, they've done the same thing with Traffic among others.

my only concern is that most sites that are selling the recent version do not list the extras. i'm worried that the few that do list the extras with the new version are just copying them over without checking the actual cover.

deep discount does not list the extras. amazon lists both items, but only has the extras on the first version. dvd planet lists the extras with the new version, but has the old cover, so they might just be going by that....

i've sent some e-mails, and wil be making some calls today so maybe i'll figure it out.

did traffic retain its extras?

thank you for your help.

Make sure you get a disc that has the deleted scenes if you want to see more naked Jennifer Connelly. :D

now you understand why i'm so concerned about the possibility of a lack of extras...

i actually saw a copy today in a barnes and noble that was the same back cover, but had a big sticker with the new UPC covering the old one, so i'm gonna assume that it's the standard for the new release. wish me luck.

the other main reason i'm fretting is if i order it from DDD and it doesn't have the extras, there's really no reason for me to return it, because their site doesn't list it as having any.

thanks again

Damn I thought this was referring to the BBC Crime Drama. :( I'm still waiting for BBC to put this on DVD.
