Old School Rated version vs Unrated

I saw Old School for the first time on HBO a few days ago and I think that is the Rated version. So what is the difference between the rated and unrated versions?

So what is the difference between the rated and unrated versions?
One of them was rated by the Motion Picture Association of America (R, for restricted, to be specific), the other wasn't.

ba-dum-bum

Why not check the IMDB? Isn't this sort of thing exactly what they're set up for?

MasterCXtreme 04-02-04 02:38 PM

That sums it up pretty well. The unrated version is also the only way you can get the movie in Widescreen.

PHMustang2000 04-02-04 03:04 PM

i mean what is the difference in the footage?Anything new in the unrated version?

Hendrik 04-02-04 03:09 PM

...umm... did you check the link provided by ThatGuamGuy above...?...

. . . :o . . .

Anything new in the unrated version?
Yes. As the link specified. As I say, maybe you should check the IMDB, since they're specifically set up to detail "alternate versions" of any number of movies. I guess I just feel like it's really lazy for you to come here and post a question and wait for an answer rather than just going to the IMDb, where all information like this is (and at least 90% of it is accurate), but its especially lazy when I've already given you the exact link to go to.

I don't think it's lazy to ask the question here. That's what this forum is for. I use IMDB frequently, but would have never thought of checking there to see a comparisson between the rated and unrated version.

I do agree that he should have clicked the link you provided though.

Yeah I didn't know that IMDB did that either. Pretty cool. When Eurotrip or Girl Next Door comes out on DVD, I'll check out IMDB.

...Nah screw it, I'll probably end up just starting a thread.

Rypro 525 04-02-04 06:41 PM

from the old thread

1. Extra 15 seconds or so of Frank streaking. (The scene where he is leaving the party and runs down the street setting off the car alarm)
2. Extra 45 seconds or so with Andy Dick, lots of stuff in this scene that was cut.
3. Finally, there seems to be an additional 5 seconds or so with the naked girls in the KY Jelly.
but there is ALSO a few more seconds of PORNO at the beginning on TV that Juliette Lewis is watching... these are the only additions...
also, while the Singer does swear throughout the wedding... he never said "you're my ****ing lady" .. it was always just "you're my lady"...
In the beginning when Luke Wilson says he sometimes does the same thing as Heidi, but only "to magazines", there is a change. In the theatrical release the shot was of Wilson as he said the line, in the Unrated cut it was on the nude people coming out of the room.

thanks to mdc3000 and Mittman for providing the info.
