wonder if the commentary (subtitled) of Nausicaa will be included on the Region 1 US release.

the 'new' dubbed voice cast for the three film sound hideous IMO. Can't believe the French language track isn't retained for Porco Rosso since Miyazaki has expressed his favourtism towards the voices, Jean Reno is fantastic as the voice of Porco Rosso

Great news, but...
Crap, I really wanted to hear the French track because of the above reasons. I'm really surprised its not there because R1 includes Quebec. I have been holding off buying the more expensive Japanese disc because of this expected US release, but I might end up getting the R2 disc after all. Oh well, I'm looking forward to getting Totoro anyway.

Good news, pals. I'll be getting the whole pack.
I've been holding off buying "The Cat's return" R3, does anybody know if the R1 is gonna be released ?

I'm a fan of the recent Miyazaki stuff (Spirited Away, Mononoke), would I be interested in these as well? The posters for a couple of these make the movies seem very child-oriented.

I distinctly remember hearing all 5 channels when I was watching Nausicaa. I'll have to go back and make sure now.

the current full-frame FOX R1 version had an acceptable english cast. is the upcoming reissue going to contain a different set of voice actors for the English track? of course, i'm looking forward to the original Japanese track, but was curious about the new version.
