personally I buy dvds for the content on the discs, I could care less about cover art, inserts, what kind of case it comes in, or whether it comes with extra shot glasses, bookends or whatever, besides that stuff just drives the cost of the dvd up

I paid $37 (could be had for less now) for my Scarface box set when it was first released. The movie was $19.99 everywhere at the time of release. For extra $17 you get another movie and a cool box to keep them in. Yeah, what a rip of. Especially for someone who wants to own both of the movies. In all honesty you're paying a $2-6 of $ extra just for the box. Yeah, that's outrages.

I totally agree with you, bboisvert. I didn't pick up the Scarface Gift Set because I really didn't need a money clip with someone else's initials on it, and I could care less about the original Scarface movie. I wouldn't really expect classy packaging for something like "Showgirls" but c'mon, that stuff is just plain stupid.
