Picture Leeching

Just thought I'd let people who have posted pictures on this thread know about this... there's a Chinese site leeching them at: http://210.76.166.250/forum/gomovie/1064370.htm

I checked my server logs and quickly banned that site from leeching my stuff and swapped it with a nice "anti-leech" pic.

I'm thinking it must be a reader/user of this forum.

Dude you RULE! That is the exact DVD shelf I have (but mine is the khaki one not black & I have the annoying fixed shelf in the center tha drives me nuts. I never even thought of modifying it to make a 7th shelf & that link you posted shows you how. Now I'm totally going to do it. Thanks.

And your set-up is indeed awesome.

Glad I could unknowingly help you out

Well, I hope that extra shelf lasts longer for you than it did for me. I'm almost maxed out. I need to purge some of my collection via half.com.

The picture quality on the latest High Def Rear Projection TVs are far superior to the older models. The days of "blocky" video are over. My 57" Sony Kp-WV700 was dynamite right out of the box. At the time I paid $2,800 shipped for it. I'm sure it goes for less now. I've since had it ISF'd (professionally calibrated) and it looks stunning.

I've had it for well over a month now. I'm sure by now it's available at many of the usual street date breakers but it wouldn't be prudent for me to reveal my source.

I've already enjoy 2 of my own Trilogy Tuesday sittings.

Here's my Toshiba 65 inch TheaterWide, along with a Denon 3802 receiver, a Sony HD-300 hi-def DirecTV box, and a Norcent 501 1080i upscaling DVD player. You can also barely make out the tiny Rio Receiver which is used to stream mp3s from my computer in another room. Seven Paradigm speakers encircle the room.

After seeing the media shelves from Ikea way earlier in the thread, I finally went out and purchased them. They're quite an improvement over the old bookcases I had.

Here are the rest of the DVDs.

Those are the complete series, yes. I got them back when you could get the new Star Trek releases every six weeks from Reel.com for 13.99 and the new Twilight Zone releases for 11.99.

Or at least I think those numbers are right. It's been quite some time.

Steebo777,
I've been hooked since the day I picked up The Hobbit over 20 years ago...

Since the films, I've been a big fan of Weta Workshop and their production design talent. Having the art (sculpts) made by the people who worked on the films is amazing and addictive.
DGC, can you teach me to sell crack rock so I can buy thousands of dollars worth of toys too? Please! Oh god in heaven please!

Haha, I can't believe someone stole one of my images. What's this site about anyway?

I went ahead and replaced it with this: http://www.peskytestes.com/images/dvds.jpg

Steebo,

I forgot to ask you earlier. I know we have the same equipment rack, but how much does your reciever weigh? I am worried about putting my Yamaha RX-V3300 on the glass shelves because it weighs about 50 pounds! Thanks.

Well I finally got a digital camera, so you know I had to post pics of my stuff. It isn't a home theatre or anything, but it is good. I have a 27" (I think) Panasonic TV, a Toshiba Dvd, a Mintek Portable One (the accessories are in the white cube), four wire racks sorted by genre and my odd cases and sets are in the black stand.

Angelfire is gay so you have to copy and paste to see the images, I hate that service.

Hey REL77, where'd you get those 27 by 40 poster frames? They look nice and thin. I have a few of the black/wood ones from Suncoast. They're fine except they are warped slightly which bugs me. Are yours warped at all? They look pretty straight.

All are the Series 3 600 series. Floor standings are the 603s. Center is the LCR 600. Rears are 600s which I may eventually upgrade to 601s.

I also have the following equipment:

SVS PB2-Plus (has a built in 900 watt amp)
JBL PB12
Sony S9000ES (built like a tank, but gets less use since the new kid on the block arrived)
Denon DVD-5900 (putting my sony out to pasture)
A/V Receiver: Sony DA5ES (w/ software upgrade for 6.1 discrete)
Scientific Atlanta 4200HD High Definition Cable box
Monster MPHTS5100
MX-500 Universal Remote
XBOX

Next upgrade: Krell Amp
