Thanks, Mike.

I noticed CC raised the price on this TV back up to $4,099 last week, up from $3,499. I was surprised and very happy I bought it when I did.

This TV is by far the best EDTV I have seen yet. I'm not into HD and won't be for awhile...not enough programming.

I have been watching about 20m of Mulholland Drive on this set each night as I doze off and its the best picture...I'm very impressed. And I'm not even sure if this DVD is one to "show off" the picture, but it rocks on this set.

I just moved and here are my new pics

This is my Tosh 57H93 with my audio rack (Pio 563A, Pio 912 Reciever, and SA 3250 HD Cable Box and Xbox)

This is the back of my L Shaped COuch

My Ikea Billy Bookshelves ( a little messy and missing some DVDs now but around 400 total there with mine and my GFs)

My Movie posters (still need to hand my signed Con Air Poster)

and finally my last viewing place (my comp and my 32" Wega which has my Gamecube and PS2, as well as my PVR)

Nice setup. I like the way the glass shelves brighten up your cabinets.

But what is that bowl of yucky blue water that looks like a candle is half submerged in it?

Oh, and you left the seat up in the bathroom.

You must be unmarried and single. Even though the magazine itself is very tasteful, no self-respecting female would ever come home to a living room with a proud display of a Playboy cover on a shelf.

A) I live with my Fiance` whom I have been with for 3 years
B) The bowl is a mix of Blue Sand and pebble stones with a candle half way down (in a fish bowl we had laying around) designed by the fiance.
C) The Playboy is a autographed Sable issue I have had since it came out. The Fiance actually kinda likes it, cause there my shelves.
D) The seat is up, its hard to break old Habbits, what can I say.
E) Thanks for the Compliment on the shelves

A signed playboy makes sense and sorry to bash a design of your fiances. Your a good sport.

But your home looks like the ultimate bachelor's pad.

Take care,

Especially when you have Lord of the Rings posters hanging in your living room.

Once you hit 30 and/or get married, you'll find yourself rolling those up and storing those in the garage. Trust me.

TomOpus,
Thanks. Tours? Sure, why not ... my wife calls it my shrine to all superficial things I love.

Steebo777,
I've been hooked since the day I picked up The Hobbit over 20 years ago...

Since the films, I've been a big fan of Weta Workshop and their production design talent. Having the art (sculpts) made by the people who worked on the films is amazing and addictive.

I too am worried about this... But she really loves the posters as well, as soon as we get married and get our own place, I will have my own media/HT room or basement and the posters will stay up. When we moved in togehter, i was worried that she was going to make me take them down, but she said she wanted to keep them cause they look good where they are...

That candle fishbowl thing is ugly, but its one of those things I just have to let her have in the room to make her happy and lets me remain happy. I personally think its ugly as well, but hey, what can i do, she thinks its artistic, i think its ugly..

While I don't have any LOTR posters hanging, my wife and I do have "the one ring" as our wedding bands. I don't think we'll be putting those away any time soon.

Its actually been a few weeks since I played. I'm just too lazy to put that monster controller and pedal box away.

Now that is a collection. Nice work dgc, Soooo much cool stuff there!

But might I ask where you got your shelves? Not that I have that many DVD's yet, but that's the exact style Im looking for, only smaller. I was looking for something like yours, but maybe only holding 500 or so..

But again, !

dgc I'd hate to know how much you've spent on all that LOTR stuff. You probably could have feed some third world country for 4 months with that money! I'm not into collecting swords or anything but that Aragorn sword (i think that's what it is) is very dope. Personally I've always wanted a Lurtz sword.

I'm really digging those retro movie posters as well. Very cool collection and setup.

Thanks alot.

Your basically looking at where all my "disposable income" (allowance from the wife) goes.

- Vintage movie paper
- Movie Replicas (LOTR United Cutllery Swords and Helms & Star Wars Master Replicas)
- DVDs
- Home Theater upgrades
- LOTR Sideshow Weta Sculptures

All my posters are original vintage and date back to their original theatrical release. I just wish I had enough wall space to display them all.

Great frames, especially if you have vintage stuff and need to use archival framing in an HT (i.e.: Anti glare - UV filtered plexi, acid free backing, etc..)

I highly recommend them.
