Smallville - Season 2 or Buffy - Season 6?

Both of these great shows come out on the same day, May 25th and I am wondering who is gonna get what? I am gonna get both. Thank God for credit cards lol.
I like both shows. Smallville - Season 2 is by favorite so far and I want to own Buffy - Season 6 cause I never got to see all the episodes because of UPN.

I'm definitely buying Buffy: Season 6. Can't wait!

I have Smallville: Season 1 (found it used for $28, and couldn't resist) but I haven't watched it, and I've never seen the show before, so once I finally get around to watching it, I'll decide whether or not I like it enough to buy Season 2.

BTW, I'm also buying Season 3 of Cheers and Frasier that day.

Season 2 of Smallville is awesome. Got away from the "freak-of-the-week" plots and more into Clark's origins and destiny.

It depends - do you want the see the absolutley depressing, badly written, poorly acted demise of a once great show or do you want to see Smallville?

So you can guess which one I'll be picking up.

The final episode of Buffy was Graduation Day, Part 2.
(I hope that if I keep telling myself that I will one day actually manage to cleanse my memory of the crap that came after that episode.)

In my case, it's a choice between some of the most engrossing and well-written episodes of one of the best series ever shown on TV, or Smallville. Different strokes for different folks

I already have the R2 release of Buffy season 6. It was even better watching it in the space of a week or so, since it's so arc-based. Looking forward to season 7 next month!

I've never got into Smallville, but I've been vaguely considering getting the season 1 box set for a while. My main reasons not to are that I don't really have time to watch it, and that it'll never be possible to catch up to the TV airings by watching the DVDs. I am kind of interested though.

Ha. I'll be buying Buffy -- as dismal as I thought the past two seasons were (season three was the peak for me), there were still some great moments, however infrequent, in its later years.

Just Buffy for me. Despite the fact that I've been reading comics for 25 years, I just never got into Smallville.

Get both if you got money. I haven't seen Buffy season 6 yet and is just finishing up Buffy season 5 on DVD. I saw all the episodes of Smallville on TV. Both are good shows.

Definitely Smallville. Season 2 is that show's best so far, and Buffy was running out of steam by season 6.

Just Buffy, thanks. I have a feeling the season will work better back-to-back on DVD. I think I'll be buying season 7 for completeness only, however.

Smallville is a decent show but is a bit too repetitive for my tastes. I watch it when I catch it, but it seems like every episode ends with Lana asking Clark, "Is there something you want to tell me?" and Clark saying some lame reply. Not that that's different from Superman, but it happens a little too frequently in my opinion.

I had never watched a single episode of Smallville until Season One came out on DVD. On release date I bought it because I had met Sam Jones III (Pete), and he was sooooo cool, it interested me in the show more. Before going to bed that night I had watched six episodes in a row and watched the entire season in just a few days. I was hooked. Unfortunately, about the same time, they were about to premiere Season Three on TV. So I purposely stayed away from it, and of course I had never seen Season Two either. So I can't wait to pick up Smallville: Season Two on May 25th.

Incidentally, I have also never seen a single episode of Buffy, though I did like the movie.

BOTH... May 25 is going to be one of the most expensive days ever... but i can't wait... lots of great stuff and of course, these two shows are both great...

Smallville Season 2 was extremely entertaining (this season it's gone down hill IMO) and Buffy 6 has Once More With Feeling, so it's a MUST OWN... Looking forward to it.

I have the UK season 6 of Buffy and have for awhile. However, I have yet to open it. I don't like that season much. Not sure why I even got it. I wish I had cancelled.

I am for sure getting Smallville though. I am new to the show and really enjoyed the season 1 dvds. I can't wait for season 2.
