Hoping for extras on Quantum Leap S1? I hope not..

According to David Lambert, there ain't gonna be none.

I'll still get it, but that price tag (for TWO DVDs mind you) is not looking so pretty anymore.

Unless that cool holgraphic packaging means it's Al and he helps me solve my problems, I think I'll have to pass.

What a big rip in my pants. Probably my number one TV show that I wanted on DVD, and no extras. I probably wouldn't be so upset if they hadn't promised us extras in the past few weeks.

Nuts!

To be perfectly fair, the article does say 2 dual-sided disks. Would it be worth $40 if it was 4 single-sided disks?

2 disc, 4 discs...

WHAT DOES IT MATTER? EITHER IT'S A FULL SEASON OR IT ISN'T.

What matters is that you have the content (a complete season) not the number of discs.

I'd be surprised if the subsequent full 22 episode seasons were not significantly more expensive.

YOU HAVE TO ASK YOURSELVES THE RIGHT QUESTIONS.

Ask, "Is a full season of Quantim Leap worth $xx to me?"

Not, "Is 2 discs worth $xx to me?"

Well,

That is disappointing news, but then again, I do not really care. I am just THRILLED that the show is coming to DVD. See, I think they probably had to spend a significant amount of $$$ to clear music rights. . . if that is the case, then, maybe they decided to forgo the extras to save money. If so, then fine. I mean, Mary Tyler Moore S1 had good extras, but they charged so much that it did not sell well. As long as I get all 5 seasons of QL on DVD - then I am more than HAPPY!!! Shoot, I don't care if they ship them to me in clear jewel cases. This show is one of my most-desired DVD arrivals. BRING IT ON. June 8 cannot get here fast enough!!!

Yes, Sci-Fi just showed them all day last week.

I'll reserve judgement untill they actually arrive. Some of Universals TV transfers are total garbage. I hope this is halfway decent.

I also hope Sliders and the first two seasons of Earth:TFC will come out soon.

I thought they have been working on extras for half a year now. What happened?

YEAH! The first season of Sliders was the best!! Season 2 (like most FOX sci-fi shows other than X-Files) really went downhill.

From TVShowsOnDVD.com:
We finally have information on the extras for the season 1 set.

"A Kiss With History: Remembering Quantum Leap"
Series stars Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell, along with creator Don Bellisario, share stories about creating their groundbreaking series. The featurette will take viewers behind the scenes of Quantum Leap's first year, including stories about Bakula's extensive and demanding training, Stockwell's wild wardrobe and fans' invaluable contribution to the show.

"Quantum Knowledge"
Scott Bakula introduces each episode with a bit of trivia (guest stars, special effects, training).

The set is now coming on three discs instead of two. They changed the disc configuration around, but the content remains the same.
