Who's the Boss: Season 1 coming June 8th
From TVShowsOnDVD.com:
Columbia TriStar will release the first season of Who's The Boss on June 8th. Details are slim right now, but we can tell you the set will include all 22 episodes from the 84-85 season, as well as some featurettes contains the funniest moments from various characters.
The show is probably best known for launching the career of Alyssa Milano, but it also starred Tony Danza, Judith Light, Katherine Helmond and Danny Pintauro.
We'll keep you informed of any new developments in the title, including the full specs and pricing when they're available.

With all the classic television yet to appear on DVD, why, oh why, is this getting released?
I weep.

Well I'll be the first one bold enough to say that I'm looking forward to this one. I'll even admit that I did a little happy dance while sitting at my desk when I got the email from TVShowsOnDVD.

Okay, with this one coming, I expect NOTHING LESS then Family Ties, Growing Pains, and of course, the quality Mr. Belvedere to follow suit.
Brand new life....Brand new life.....Brand new life, around the bend....

Damn. Now this thread has me thinking. I have always romantisized 80s TV as being great (as I was sort of a kid back then), but in retrospect, there was a LOT of crap back then too.
What goes around, comes around, I guess.
Back to the topic at hand, I will probably pick up WTB out of pure nostalgia. Besides, the more buy it, the more cheesy 80s shows get released, and we all could use more of those.....

Doubt I'll pick this up, but it is good that this is being released, I really would like a Family Ties release.
I can telle you aren't a real Mr. Belvedere fan, if you were, you would know to call it Brocktoon.

It was about seven prep school girls-- Blair, Natalie, Tootie, Cindy, Nancy, Sue Ann, and (Molly Ringwald as) Molly-- several years before the girls would work at Edna's Edibles (or, even worse, the crappy Spencer's Gifts-esque shop that replaced it).
It was a magic time, before Jo, before George Clooney, and before any Australian involvement at all, be it a cast trip there, or an infusion of "new blood" in the form of perky Ozzie Pippa. Blech.
All this rambling about the 1979 season was just a pretense so I could insert the lyrics to my preferred version of the theme, from the three choices:
"There's a place you've got to go for learning all you want to know about the facts of life the facts of life. When books are what you're there about and looks are what you care about the time is right, to learn the facts of life. When the world never seems to be living up to your dreams it's time you started finding out what everything is all about When the boys you used to hate you date, I guess you best investigate the facts of life you gotta get'em right the facts of life. "
Who to blame? That's right, Alan Thicke.
