Is Neil Jordan's The Butcher Boy available on DVD anywhere?
 

This is one of my favorite movies and I'd love to upgrade my crappy taped off tv version with a more watchable copy, but it doesn't appear to be available anywhere in the world on DVD. Is there a reason for this?

I'm waiting for a Region 1 release of this one, too. I don't know why it's been delayed, other than the fact it never did big box office in the US, and remains fairly obscure here.

Neil Jordan has made some pretty great flicks - The Crying Game, The Company of Wolves, Mona Lisa. It would be great to add this one to my collection.

Love that movie. I've been waiting for years to get that, too.

In the mean time, check out the audiobook. I can listen to it over and over...and i have!
