Last I heard it was not coming to the US until Sept 04. It should just go straight to DVD> I want to own this film. It was such a fun film to watch and I cant wait to see it again. Bring it on w/ lots of extras!

I picked up the import dvd and I love it. Can't get enough zombie lovin'.

I thought they were going to go for a limited theater release. After Dawn of the Dead makes bank, I'm sure it will be prime picking to release this in theaters first.

It's currently under the Rental window in austrila, Had to get mine through some connections I had down under and it cost me a nice chunk. I would suggest waiting. It's going to hit Japan later this month and it should be in retail window in aus later this year.

It's one hell of a cool movie.

I have heard so much about this flick, I really want to see it. I may have to go the Japanese route on this one.

I see that Undead will be available May 24 from Amazon in Germany. It doesn't list any features nor if it'll be widescreen or not. With shipping to US it comes out to 32 euros or about $39 US

Now, I saw this movie in Toronto at the film fest and had fun with it, but $39 is a bit steep to pay. It's the high shipping fee that kills the deal.

Anyone know where else we can get the R2 PAL German release more affordably and what the specs of the dvd are?

wow the thread came back

I'm going to Paris this summer, do you think some shops there might carry this R2 PAL? I saw the movie a month or so ago, its solid/fun but loses its focus and totally goes off track.

Isn't this still set for a US theater release first? If anything the discussion about it hitting other region dvds should be in international talk. they can offer much better help.

Howdy!

Undead in Germany is in 1.78 Anarmorphic Widescreen according to dvdinside.de and German 5.1 and English 5.1 Dolby Digital audio tracks.

delivery from Amazon.de is s----l---o---w (just thought I mention that if anyone plans on ordering the German DVD mport version).

I so hope that Lions Gate does not get US distribution rights to this - word is that they wont release "Haute Tension" (High Tension) not until 2005, my friends want to see this and the only North American showing of this so far have been only at the Chicago EU Film Festival and Philadelphia International Film Festival. Lions Gate is dropping the ball on this and I for one don't think they would be the best distrib. for this or 'Undead'
