from dvdanswers.com:
http://www.dvdanswers.com/index.php?...3478&n=1&burl=
Further Details
Universal have kindly sent over some early details on Field of Dreams: Anniversary Edition which stars the likes of Kevin Costner, Amy Madigan, James Earl Jones, Burt Lancaster and Ray Liotta. This two disc package will be available to own from the 8th June this year, and should retail at around $26.98. I'm afraid we have no details on extra material right now, but we can tell you that the film will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen. Sound will arrive in the form of English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround, English DTS 5.1 Surround and French Dolby Surround.

I'm guessing the 80 minute "Scrapbook" documentary will be broken down into featurettes ala Scarface.
I will be keeping my non-anamorphic version because this new version obviously will not have the trailer or a chapter insert.

Damn. I bought the earlier version KNOWING I'd watch it all the time, but I've watched it maybe twice. I loved this movie growing up (despite the fact that I hate baseball), and this set looks stacked. Hopefully it will be available for a pretty decent price so I can justify buying it again. Thanks for the info!

It looks like the commentary will be new (the old version didn't have Costner, just Robinson if memory serves). I'll probably upgrade but I might hold on the original as well.

Great movie and the DVD in my collection that I maybe have viewed the most. I hate upgrading discs though because the old ones just collect dust and I'm out twice the money. I have no problem with the version I own. I wish the studios would give it their best at first try and leave it at that.

One of my favorite movies of all time.
Shame that Costner's head got so big after 'Wolves'. Not that he was the greatest actor, but he picked some damn fine movies to be in.
