Banzai! (Fox "game show") DVD release?

I'm just curious if anyone heard about this series coming out to DVD. It lasted a season on Fox and was quickly canceled, but I understand it's rather popular in England.

Doubtful as it didn't even last a season. Just a couple episodes before it was pulled. All sorts of groups protested it as well.

I so loved that show :(

You'll probably see MXC get boxed before you see this. And rightfully so.

It's funnier.

Maybe this will have some effect on a possible DVD release? *shrug*

BANZAI (FOX) - Comedy Central has snagged the rights to the short-lived FOX series and will begin airing the show Thursdays at 10:30/9:30c beginning next month. The deal includes the broadcast rights to all 10 produced installments (four of which never aired on FOX) as well as the option to produce new episodes. A paltry 4.77 million viewers on average tuned into the series during its six-week run on FOX last summer. Nevertheless, Comedy Central executives were reportedly impressed by its performance in several key male demographics: men 18-34 (1.1 million) and 2.6 among men 18-49 (1.6 million).

Yea , i watched a few episodes and thought it was pretty good. MXC is better i think, but oh well...

i think banzai was better as a mini show between commercials on usa network. making a whole show out of it just didn't work.

The idea of the show doesn't seem like something that would work well on DVD. Almost like Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune on DVD.

I guess 4.77 million people watching a show is considered bad. Hell, if that is the fact, how is UPN and WB surviving with anything?

My thoughts exactly. once you've seen it once it's pointless to view it again since you know the answer.
