What's the difference between Transformers: The Movie CANADIAN and USA?

Are they exactly the same?

Don't know if there's a difference but the current USA disc has a messed up 5.1 audio track. Rhino is planning on re-releasing the movie at some point, maybe this year.

Probably the swear words

Which one contains the swear?

In the VHS format, it was the canadian one, but I'm not sure if it breaks up the same way for the DVD's.

Well I know the Rhino release has the swear word. I was under the impression the CA release didn't have it. But I don't actually own that ver.

The Rhino DVD is the original theatrical cut, including the original opening credits (previous video editions added in a Star Wars-style text scroll) and the "Oh s**t!" line.

However, as noted above the 5.1 track is screwed up. Rhino actually turned the entire soundstage sideways. Sounds that should be coming from your front Left, Center, and Right instead come from the Center, Front Right, and Surround Right (or is it left? I forget whether they turned the soundstage clockwise or counter-clockwise, but regardless it's a mess).

The Canadian DVD I think is not the theatrical cut. It's the old video cut (Star Wars scroll and no profanity) and the soundtrack is plain stereo.

Spike shoots first in the Canadian version.

 For some reason, this struck me as very funny . . .

Maybe it's because I don't own a copy. :D
