You don't need a DVD. Just read gambling Web sites. Its actually pretty simple once you get the basics down.

This is a good site:

Most cheap or shareware Casino computer games have Craps. After you learn the basics, you can load up one of those and play at your own pace until you feel comfortable playing for real.

Hello!

Although I agree that the best way to learn to to read the books and then observe and join in (submersion), there is a DVD in existence.

It is taught by Barnney Vinson, a pro, and is available at Best Buy (online only) for $9.99 (free shipping)

Here is a link:

Good luck!

Here's how I learned to play craps: On a cruise this year, I waited until it was late at night when the craps table was empty but the table was still open. I walked up to the table, threw a disposable 100 bucks down and asked them if they would teach me to play. The dealers were really cool about it. They went real slow and gave me a lot of tips.

So my suggestion is to hit a casino on an off night or when the table is completely empty. It took my about an hour to get the hang of it & when all was said & down, I left about $300 ahead at the end of the cruise.

I had tried watching videos on how to learn and also read a few things. I even went to the clinic they had on the cruise to learn but it just confused me more. The best way for me was to have actual stakes on the table and move at my own pace.

Damn...talking about this really makes me want to find a nearby casino!

Off subject but for books -- hands down is "Scarnes on Dice" followed by another Cardoza "How to Win at Gambling"

"Pay the line. Take the Don'ts" - words I love to hear
