Can Someone post reviews of the Star Wars OT Bootlegs??

Since George has done what we expected we must now turn to other avenues to get our 1977 Star Wars. Can anybody post reviews of their sets (since they come up with new ones every week). Please do not post where to buy them, otherwise this thread will be shut down.

In before the lock... ;)

jim9 02-10-04 07:09 PM

yeah-- even I feel the lock is coming

As of a couple of years ago, the OT was of VHS quality. Not sure what's out there now.

Bootlegs are good. Everyone go buy bootlegs. Much praise and love for bootlegs.

They're pretty good, they're basically rips of the Laserdiscs if that helps any.

tripps 02-10-04 07:47 PM

I have the awesomest bootlegs of the OT in the world. Course, they're on these REALLL big DVDs about 12" across and they play in this REAALLY noisey giant DVD player that goes WHIR-WHIR and everyonceinawhile you have to flip em... just like pancakes.

RyoHazuki 02-10-04 07:51 PM

Your LOCK of faith disturbs me.

El-Kabong 02-10-04 07:56 PM

So has anyone actually used the Report Post function yet, or is it all just I B T L?

And - go buy a laserdisc. Dont get bootlegs. (Not that you'll care)

This and a couple other threads are in the Archive forum, but I don't know how they match up with whatever is being sold today.

I see a "lock" in this thread's future.

Buying an old used laserdisc doesn't help the studio (or rights holders) any more than buying a bootleg does. In both cases, someone else gets the money.

You'll all buy George's Trilogy! All of you!!!

Wah ha ha ha haaaaa

Yeah, but it's not putting money in the hands of criminals. If you must steal, dont pay for the privlage. Download for petes sake - but dont support the bad guys.

When you download you rarely get the same quality as bootlegs.

This thread shouldn't be locked.

I could understand it if the movie in question was available on DVD, but George Lucas has stated that he will never make it available to us. So screw him. You can't lose money on something that you don't market.
